Charlotte County is in the south west area of the Gulf of Mexico. We are located north of Ft.Myers, about 1.5 hours south of Tampa.
You want to settle down here if you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Atlantic side of Florida or if the larger cities like Ft.Myers, Cape Coral or the expensive lifestyle of Naples is not your cup of tea. Next to Tampa we have the largest body of water (Charlotte Harbor) in all Florida. So if you like boating, fishing, diving, or just sun bathing and swimming, my place might just be what you are looking for. In no form or shape are we boring, we have close to 1,000 restaurants and bars throughout Charlotte County.
The brand new event center in Punta Gorda is often host to international gatherings and conventions. Punta Gorda even has a fully functional airport with about three commercial flights per day! Tampa Bay Rays have their spying training right here in Port Charlotte and draws huge crowds every weekend with their games. Of course we have plenty of farmers markets and local shows and events all year long.
More and more people desire the “small town atmosphere” that you will find here. Money Magazine has voted as years in a row as one of the best places to live in the US. Here you will find low crime, clean air, low taxes and plenty of culture to have a restful vacation.

From October through April every year we about double in population since the snowbirds come down from the cold North and “hang out” here in warm and sunny Florida.
We still have a huge demand for vacation homes during those month and not only the Canadians, British or Germans come and buy their dream home here!
